This section is the biggest among the three sections of the department. To date, there are thirty-five (35) staff who are well-versed in their fields of interest and an average of forty-two (42) courses being offered every semester except for the third (summer) semester.
IT offers Software Engineering and Database specializations, which respond to the changing needs of the labor market. Various fields are recognized and involved such as database systems, software engineering, networking and security, web-based application, artificial intelligence, mobile technology, multimedia, and e-commerce.
IT section ensures to produce graduates with sound knowledge and skills of both technical and application aspects of software development, and enthusiasts who can contribute to the development in the field of IT and to the nation as a whole. It also caters to the course requirements of the Engineering and Business departments, and the English Language Center (ELC). The section also extends its services to the local community by providing substantial training.
IT’s thrust of providing quality and responsible education for the college is evidenced by the various achievements the department receives through the years.
