The Student Support Services Committee of the Engineering Department (ED) conducted “Specializations Orientation Program” for 60 Diploma 1 students on November 19, 2019 at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Engineering Building.

The program aimed at guiding the students choose from the specializations ED offers: Electrical, Civil and Mechanical Engineering.

Shinas College of Technology (ShCT) alumni Electrical Engineer Ali Suleiman Al Shamsi, and Mechanical Engineers Tariq Ali Al Maqbali and Abdulaziz Ali Al Maqbali of Suez Tractebel Operations and Maintenance Oman (LLC) and Civil Engineer Marwan Suleiman Al Yazeedi of Parsons International Company served as the resource speakers.

They highlighted the importance of choosing the right specialization and discussed how the skills they acquire in their specializations can influence their careers.

Dr. Ahmed Al Balushi, ED Head, thanked the speakers and awarded them with mementos and certificates of appreciation.
