Engineering Department of UTAS Shinas conducted an Awareness workshop on “The biological effects of electromagnetic field on human body” on 17/05/2023 at Vocational college, Shinas. The resource person was Dr. Yassir Osman, Lecturer, Engineering Department of UTAS, Shinas.  

Session aimed at providing students and community members with an awareness about dealing with health aspects of concentrated electromagnetically fields of cellular phones. Presenter narrated the practical and experimental data and latest research in the area to the student community. Various Standards prescribed and observed by worldwide official Organizations related to the electromagnetic compatibility are also discussed during the session 

Mr. Abdullah Ibrahim Al-Balushi, Head of Teaching and Learning center, Mr. Ghalib Sultan Al-Amri Head of Energy section and Mr. Nasir Salim Al-Hanai Head of Electronics section of Shinas vocational college attended the session along with 30 students. Participants appreciated the resource personnel’s expertise in the area. The session with 30 processes like interviews and assessments which students need to concentrate and prepare for post-college life. Session emphasizes the need of effective healthy education scenario for students to reap the complete benefits of vocational training in private sector organizations.
