Electrical Engineering Faculty Visits National University's International Maritime College
A team of dedicated Electrical Engineering faculty and staff, led by Mr. Mahesh Aphale, recently undertook an insightful visit to the National University's International Maritime College (NU IMCO) near the bustling Sohar Port on Tuesday, November 20, 2023. The primary objective of the visit was to gain firsthand experience and insights into the cutting-edge facilities at NU IMCO, with a specific focus on the High Voltage Simulator, Electrical Technology Workshop, and General Engineering Workshop.
The esteemed visiting team included Mr. Satyanarayan Mishra, Mr. Arun Gopinath, Mr. Murali Krushna Boddu, and Mr. Abdulaziz Al Mamari. Upon arrival, they were warmly received by Captain Dr. Arief Tugsan Colak, Dr. Hamed Raza Soltani Motlagh, and Mr. Nauryzbek Bekpemtov. The welcome presentation was delivered by Captain P Rajkumar, the Dean of the International Maritime College, providing an in-depth overview of NU IMCO's accomplishments and academic offerings. Dr. Hamed, Dr. Abdul Hameed Kaifullah, and Mr. Abdullah Hassan Al Mounamani guided the visiting team through the High Voltage Simulator laboratory, offering a demonstration of the fault simulator.
Mr. Nauryzbek Bekpemtov provided a tour of the Engine Room Simulator and the Engine Room Workshop, showcasing the state-of-the-art facilities available at NU IMCO.
