As a part of ShCT’s ceaseless efforts to strengthen relationships with Industries, the Engineering Department is now offering short courses in the field of Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering for engineering students as well as industry personnel. The faculty of Mechanical Engineering pioneered the project by offering a week long training course in AutoCad from 20th April, 2014. Basics of AutoCad, generation of 2D Drawings, Orthographic Projections, Sectional Views and 3D Modeling are the focus areas of this short course. Participants of the course include personnel from Jindal Shadeed Steel Company, Oman Aluminium Processing Industries Limited and students of the Shinas College of Technology.
