The Engineering Department held its 2015 Year-end and Farewell Party at the College Theater and Manual Drawing Lab on 11th June 2015 at 12:00 pm. The party was held to mark the end of the academic year, to recognize the Staff of the Year (lecturer) and Staff of the Year (technician) and the Best Committee in the Department, and to honor and bid farewell to staff returning to their home country.

The Dean of the college, Dr. Ali Al-Mughairiwas present as the guest of honor of the event. The program started with the reading of the Qur’an by Mr. Mohammed Zulfiqar, followed by a welcome address from department social activities committee coordinator Dr. Yassir Osman. Dr.Mohammed Al-Washahi gave a motivational speech and also asked staff who are leaving many questions on-stage. Then a short-game competition took place among the staff. The awarding ceremony came next with the dean of the college Dr. Ali Al-Mughairi giving the awards.

Dr. Mohammed Al Washahi announced Mr. Arun (first choice of the department) & Ms. Gogula (second choice of the department) as Staff of the Year (lecturer) for AY 2014-2015.

Dr. Mohammed Al Washahi announced Mr. MuhammedAshfaq (first choice of the department) & Mr. Shravankumar (second choice of the department) as Staff of the Year (Technician) for AY 2014-2015.

Dr. Mohammed Al Washahi announced the Best Committee for AY 2014-2015.

During the party the Dean, Dr. Ali Al-Mughairi, delivered an inspirational message to the staff. He expressed his appreciation to everyone for their contribution to the achievements of the department.

The last part in the programme was the distribution of certificates of appreciation to all the engineering staff for their active participation in their respective committees. The certificates were awarded by Dr. Ali Al Mughairi (college Dean) & Dr. Al-Washahi (HOD) and assisted by Department Q.A. Coordinator Ms. Gogula. The master of ceremonies during the programme was Department Social Activities Committee coordinator Dr. Yassir and assisted by the DSAC committee members (Mr. Hothyfa, Mr. Khursheed& Mr. Shravan), Mr. Sachpreet Singh, Ms. Reshmi , Ms. Sumitha& Ms. Devi.

 A sumptuous vegetarian and non-vegetarian meal was served in Room B-117.
