The ShCT Civil Engineering (CE) students visited the new engineering workshop building being constructed within the premises of Shinas College of Technology on January 21, 2016.

The Engineering Department, in coordination with ShCT’s OJT Department, arranged the industrial visit in the building being constructed by Ibthaj Trading and Construction.

Dr. Mahmoud Khazalah-Head of Section for civil engineering, along with his team guided the students throughout the visit.

A total of 38 diploma students from the civil engineering section participated in the industrial visit. The aim of the visit was to impart practical knowledge related to their projects, construction practices and procedures followed on the site.

Mr.Raja Narayanan, site engineer of Ibthaj Trading and Construction, Oman, guided the industrial visit.       

The engineer-in-charge explained the construction procedure starting from setting out and excavation, to the future stages of the project.

Meanwhile, Dr. Khazalah and Mr. Narayanan addressed the questions raised by the students.
