ShCT conveys its warmest felicitations to all the delegates who took part in the 3rd GCC Skills competition, especially to our colleague Ms. Amina Al-Jabri. The third GCC Skills competition was held in Bahrain from March 31 to April 2, 2013 and Oman won second place overall among all GCC countries. Oman competed in competitions held for different skills: IT Software Solutions for Business, Graphics, Web Design, Network, Welding, Electrical and Automobile. Ms. Amina Al-Jabri, Head of Computer Services Section of Educational Technology Center, ShCT was one of the trainers who supervised and trained the Omani participants who competed in the IT Software Solution for Business category competition. The Omani team not only won the silver medal for this category but went on to secure the gold medal awarded to the team from the best of nations. In addition to the above mentioned honors, Omans total medal tally included the following: Welding- Gold, Automobile- Gold, Network- Silver, Electrical- Silver, Graphics- Bronze and Web Design- Bronze. Oman will again compete in the World Skills competitions which will be held in Germany during July 2013.
