The Industry Engagement Committee, under the leadership of Mr. Soofi Azizuddin Khusro from the Department of Business Administration at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences, Shinas, recently orchestrated an enriching tour for students enrolled in the Introduction to Tourism and Hospitality course.

The tour, which included students from Sections 1, 2, and 3, explored three prominent tourist destinations in Sohar: Sultan Qaboos Masjid, Sohar Fort, and Sohar Corniche. Departing from the university at 8:30 AM via university buses, the excursion provided students with a firsthand experience of these cultural landmarks before returning to campus at 2:30 PM.

Notably, the tour served as the basis for a course assignment, allowing students to delve into the intricacies of each location. Interactions with staff at Sultan Qaboos Masjid and Sohar Fort further enhanced the educational experience, fostering a deeper understanding of Oman's rich history and cultural heritage.

In their assignments, students will articulate their insights into the history, culture, infrastructure, services, cleanliness, and overall experience at each destination, reflecting the invaluable knowledge gained from the tour.
