Mechanical Engineering students visit Al Samna Metal Manufacturing Company
Nineteen Mechanical Engineering students visited Al Samna Metal Manufacturing Company on February 7, 2019.
Deputy Manager Dr. Ashour Al Samna welcomed the team and explained the health and safety regulations that should be followed while inside the company.
During the industrial visit, the students closely monitored the various cross sections of pipe monitoring. They also learned about the fabrication of different structures, overhead cranes, welding, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) plasma cutting, metal forming operations, and surface treatment processes such as painting and sand blasting.
The Industrial visit was organized by the Unit Industrial Liaison Committee of the Engineering Department.
Mechanical lecturer Mr. Sujith Rathnam accompanied the students in the said visit.
