The Engineering Department, in coordination with the On Job Training Department, organized a field trip for Diploma Students to Suez-Tractebel Operation and Maintenance Oman L.L.C. (STOMO) on 19^th Feb 2015.

STOMO is the largest provider of operation and maintenance services in the Sultanate of Oman, with a net installed capacity of approximately 3,890 MW of electricity and a net capacity day of potable water.

Students had an opportunity to explore the different power generation systems and desalination operation at STOMO.

The visit was very useful for the students in understanding the current power systems used in Oman and the industrial requirements.
