The Engineering Department of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences Shinas organized an industrial visit for Electrical Engineering students to Sohar Aluminium on 5^th December 2022. A total of  thirty-four students went to Sohar Aluminium, accompanied with five Engineering Club members.

The Sohar Industrial Training Institute of Sohar Aluminium is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Innovation and the British EAL organization.

The students were received by the Talent & Organizational Effectiveness manager who introduced them to the training staff.  Students learned about the company's safety rules and the workshops performed by the institute.

The students benefited from the visit and learned information related to their specialization.  They visited different departments of the company such as electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, instrumentation, and control.  The students were given the opportunity to see the different curricula and various laboratories, to get acquainted with all the equipment used for training.
