ED students visit Sohar Aluminum Power Plant
A group of 21 Electrical Engineering students enrolled in Bachelor Project course visited Sohar Aluminum Power Plant, on June 12, 2019.
Initiated by the Engineering Department, in coordination with the On-the-Job Training (OJT) Committee, the visit aimed at acquainting the students with construction and design of power transformers.
During the visit, Support Engineer Mr. Hamed Khalfan Al Sinani welcomed the students and gave them a tour around the company.
He also elaborated on combined cycle and captive power plant.
Engineering Department (ED) lecturer Mr. Selvakumar Chellaiah accompanied the students.
