The University of Technology and Applied Sciences–Shinas Branch, Oman, through the College of Business and Administration (Business Studies Department), conducted the first session of the six weeks Leadership Boot Camp, known as the LIFE (Lead, Innovate, Fellowship, Engage) Leadership Boot Camp on November 8, 2022.

The leadership boot camp is a six-module interactive workshop. The Head of Marketing, College of Economics and Business Administration, UTAS Shinas, Dr. Joefrelin C. Ines, shared his expertise on leadership focusing on the topic of ‘Values and Orientation Towards Authentic Leadership: Lessons from Within’ He inspired the participants and future leaders of Oman by navigating personal leadership and guiding them towards their ‘North Compass’  The session challenged the students to craft their mission and purpose in life and recognize that leadership is about impact, influence, and inspiration. Dr Joefrelin quoted Mahatma Gandhi’s famous quote "Be the change you want to see in the world"

A total of 22 enthusiastic students attended the 2-hour session held in the main building of UTAS Shinas.  It was an interactive session with activities that helped define the values and orientation of each participant, fueling their desire and passion for becoming a leader.

The Leadership Boot Camp was initiated by Ms. Khadija Al Isaei, Head of the College of Economics and Business Administration, UTAS Shinas. The event is organized through the Student Support Services Committee and facilitated by Ms. Nithya Sambamoorthy and Dr. Minu Thomas, faculty members of the CEBA UTAS Shinas.
