The Information Technology (IT) Department hosted a webinar titled "A Glimpse on Cybersecurity Concepts in the Digital Era" on 12tH December 2023, using Microsoft Teams as the platform.The primary objective of the webinar was to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of crucial cybersecurity principles, emphasizing the importance of adhering to secure practices to safeguard personal information and maintain system security. Dr. Amudha.G, Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems, R.M.D. Engineering College served as a featured resource speaker during the webinar. Dr. Amudha.G encouraged participants to avoid saving passwords on public computers, utilize private browsing for sensitive information, ensure complete log-out after using shared systems, and clear browser history and cookies.
