Empowering Academic Success: An Inspiring and Crisp Conversation

A captivating session that inspired and motivated a large group of Diploma second-year students on 20th November 2023 was organized by the Department of Business Administration, with the key aim of providing a supportive platform for idea exchange and positively contributing to the academic development of the student community.  

 

The core objective of the Guest lecture titled "Empowering Academic Success: An Inspiring and Crisp Conversation" held in A229, featured a distinguished speaker whose insights illuminated the path to academic excellence and personal growth. 

 

Dr. Geeta Thakur, Faculty Department of Business Administration initiated the session on a high note by welcoming the Guest speaker of the day Mr. Tariq Mohammed Said Al Mamari, Faculty at Vocational Training College, Shinas.  

Dr. Geeta shed light on the vast profile of Mr.Tariq, highlighting the key competencies he holds along with pinpointing various key community projects he is working on for the development and betterment of the academic and business community. 

 

The esteemed guest for the day an expert Marketing professional engaged the students with a wealth of knowledge and experience, enchanting the audience's interest by emphasizing the strategies for academic success, personal development, and the pursuit of one's passions. 

 

The session revolves around Mr. Tariq sharing personal anecdotes and experiences that shaped his academic journey. The audience was immediately drawn into his narrative, finding common ground with the challenges and triumphs faced during the pursuit of higher education. 

 

One of the central focus of the lecture was the importance of cultivating a growth mindset. Mr.Tariq emphasized the need for students to embrace challenges, view failures as opportunities for learning, and consistently seek ways to expand their intellectual horizons. The interactive session encouraged students to reflect on their mindset and consider how adopting a positive and resilient approach can positively impact their academic endeavors. 

 

Ms. Iman Rabia Salim Al Rubaii, Head of the Accounting section concluded the session by extending a warm Vote of thanks and awarding the certificate of appreciation as a token of gratitude to the speaker for devoting his valuable time and hardship and being part of the session. The session was finally concluded by Dr.Geeta Thakur by extending heartfelt thanks to the Registration committee, and a special thanks to Ms.Iman and Mr. Tariq for the success of the event. 

 

As the session wrapped up, all the attendees left the lecture hall with a renewed sense of motivation and determination. "Empowering Academic Success: An Inspiring and Crisp Conversation" proved to be more than just a lecture; it was an enriching experience that ignited a collective passion for learning and growth within the student community.
