The English Language Centre, in collaboration with the Community Engagement Committee. conducted a training course titled ‘60 Hour Educational Activities Designing Course’ online for the community.  The training which was a comprehensive hands-on training course was designed to help educators deliver inspiring and powerful learning activities. ELC lecturer and coordinator for the Staff Support Committee, Mr. Ossama Mustafa, provided extensive training on how to incorporate effective warm-up activities, lesson closures, individual work activities, and comprehension checkers. Mr. Ossama invited participants to conduct demo activities and evaluate lesson activities, according to a specified criteria.  The course also included peer learning with opportunities to evaluate other participants' work and record demo videos.  Around 500 participants from 35 countries registered for the course, which was delivered between 31^st October 2022 to 31^st December 2022.  In an awarding ceremony, Dean Dr Ahmed Al Shahri and the Head of the English Language Centre, Mr. Saif Al Weshahi, together with Mr. Salim Al Badi, coordinator for the Community Engagement Committee congratulated Mr. Ossama for delivering an insightful course and appreciated his efforts in training educators and members of the community locally and abroad.
