The On-the-Job Training (OJT) Committee of Shinas College of Technology (ShCT) organized a “CV Writing Skills and Preparing for Job Interviews” activity at the Multi-Purpose Hall, on October 15, 2019.

Participated by 300 OJT students, the event aimed to teach them how to write an impressive Curriculum Vitae and to prepare them for a real job interview.

Three mock interviews were conducted by a number of ShCT staff and representatives from Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries (ORPIC) and Group of Oman Oil Company.

ORPIC Engineer Abdullah Al Zaabi, Capability Development Coach Operation Mr. Sultan Al Amri and Engineering Department (ED) Head of Section Dr. Mahmoud Khazala served as the panel members for the mock interviews for 12 Engineering students.

On the other hand, nine Information Technology (IT) students were interviewed by ORPIC Senior Specialist Mr. Juma Al Maqbali, ORPIC English Trainer Ms. Mostafa Diouane and IT Head of Section Ms. Amna Al Kaabi.

For the 13 Business Department (BSD) students, ORPIC Senior Specialist Performance Management Mr. Abdullah Al Mammari, BSD Accounting Section lecturer Imran Zakir and BSD HR Section Ms. Juvy Vergara served as their panel members.

After the mock interviews, Ms. Diouane taught the participants how to write a Curriculum Vitae (CV).

College Dean Dr. Ahmed Al Mamari expressed his gratitude to all the panel members, organizers and participants.
