On-The Job Training Department had initiated a visit on 24th October 2013 to ORPIC primarily to explore the following: a.Determine the extent where ShCT and ORPIC could collaborate in a more meaningful and fruitful conduct of OJT posting of students. b.Determine areas of concern where students can conduct Final Year/Senior Project with the guidance of thesis adviser. c.Assess the potential of ShCT graduates for job placement at ORPIC or any organization. There were 18 staff members from the College who visited and set a meeting with key personnel facilitated by Communications and Community Relations Officer. The visit was represented by various offices and department which included 8 lecturers including the HOD from the Engineering department, 3 lecturers from IT Department, a representative from OJT Department, a representative from the QA and 5 lecturers from the Business Studies Department. The visit started with a brief video presentation about ORPIC of which a short visual tour guide was done by Mr. Daeji Al Hosni, Head of the Communications and Community Relations Office. The visitors then had series of meetings with experts and representatives of various departments/sections of the ORPIC Company.
