Business and Engineering students selected by the Innovative and Entrepreneurship Unit (IEU) participated in the ‘Ministry of Manpower Innovative Award’ competition on January 8 & 9, 2019, held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center, Muscat.

The competition included 40 innovative ideas presented by students from the different Technical and Vocational Colleges. The ShCT representatives presented two innovative ideas. These were: ‘Providing innovative solutions to street cracks repair by using alternative and clean energy’ and ‘Converting recycled vehicle tires into new materials that can be used in different aspects.’ They were awarded with certificates of participation and tablets as consolation prize.

Ms. Maryam Al-Nofli, the coordinator of IEU accompanied the students in the event.
