Shinas College of Technology (ShCT) participated in the “Second Forum of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Clubs for Higher Education Institutions” at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Muscat, on June 16-17, 2019.

Themed “Create Your Own”, the forum aimed at highlighting the importance of entrepreneurship in creating opportunities and the most important practices in the field of entrepreneurship and innovations in Higher Education Institutions.

During the event, General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises CEO Dr. Ahmed Ghassani elucidated the role of academic institutions in the entrepreneurship system.

ShCT- Engineering student  Reem Salim Al Badi was given the opportunity to present her idea of ethanol production from omani dates, with the guidance of  ShCT- Head of Innovation and Management Cell Ms. Samiya Abdullah Al Qayoudhi.

The event also featured success stories in the field of entrepreneurship.

Said event was organized by the Higher College of Technology, led by Dr. Muna Salim Al Jardani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Manpower for Technical Education and Vocational Training, under the patronage of H.E Eng Ahmed Bin Hassan Al-Deib, Undersecretary of Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
