ETC staff attended a series of trainings as part of the ETC Staff Development Program from April 20-24, 2014. The training sessions were held from 9am-2pm at ShCT Open Lab. Staff from different sections of the ETC attended the weeklong training which covered topics such as Basic Troubleshooting, Basic Networking and Advanced Networking. The training aimed to equip the ETC staff with updated and adequate knowledge in troubleshooting and networking so that ETC may be able to provide sterling service. Mr. Rommel Arellano and Mr. Gary Olfindo served as resource persons for the session on basic installation, troubleshooting, and recovery procedures. Training in cabling and basic networking equipment was provided by Mr. JoevenElica, while Mr. Carlo Ferandos dealt with IP addressing and sub-netting. Mr. Saad Abdul Malik and Mr. Syed Najam Ali spear-headed the session on routing and switching protocols, access list and firewall. The training proved to be an effective tool in updating the technical expertise of our technicians and equipping them with state-of-the-art skills in providing reliable service.
