The Training Development and Virus Management Committees of Educational Technology Center have conducted two sessions of Proactive Computer Virus Management Training on April 30 and May 02, 2012 which was participated by eighty six (86) ShCT Staff from different departments and ELC. The training aimed to educate all staff to be proactive in preventing viruses to secure the ShCT network, computers and files. Ms. Thuriya Al-Hosni and Ms. Marilou Paderes discussed the General Overview of the Viruses which include the definitions, kinds of malicious software and several means on how viruses infect computers, network and files. Mr. Karl Cabucos focused on the technical aspects in removing and thwarting viruses in the system. He demonstrated steps on how to remove viruses from USB flash drives and computer. Furthermore, he pointed out best practices at the end of the session.
