ETC conducts Skill Enhancement Programs for IT Faculty and Students
Educational Technology Center-Computer Services Section completed the first part of its Basic Computer Hardware and Networking programs for Semester 3 2013-2014. The two hour sessions, attended by both IT faculty and students, were held from May 18th to 22nd, 2014 from 12-2 PM at the NEW MULTIPURPOSE LAB.
The Basic Computer Hardware and Networking programs are part of the ETC Enhancement Program being conducted for students and staff during the current Academic Year, 2013-2014. This course was designed with the intention of developing the technical skills of students as well as a staff refresher course on Hardware Troubleshooting and Maintenance. Mr. Gary Olfindo, Mr. Amado Diao, and Mr. Ronaldo Abaya (ETC Staff) supervised the weeklong training that focused on computer desktop hardware repair and troubleshooting, assembly and disassembly, computer parts and peripherals familiarization, basic maintenance tools, and software installation and maintenance.
This is only the first installment of the 2-part training envisioned under this program. Training sessions on Fundamentals of Networking and Cisco Switching and Routing are scheduled from June 8-17.
