Assessment and evaluation has always been recognized as a salient area in the field of English Language Teaching. To shed light with this knowledge, Mr. Elmo Purpura, ELC Lecturer and SPDC acting coordinator conducted a workshop on ELT assessment (Test and Measurement) last 17 April 2014 in room 2034 at 10:00 o’clock in the morning until 12:00 noon. The objectives of the seminar are to update the staff about the standards and framework of test and measurement; to disseminate more widely the tools of the ELT Lecturers in line with test and measurement; to correct the usual errors committed in framing different kinds of test through critiquing prepared test papers and propose a better action for future implementation. The participants of the said event were the foundation and Post Foundation Lecturers.
