Twenty-three ELC lecturers participated in the English Language Teaching Professionals Network (ELPTN) event "An Evening with Jeremy Harmer" at Middle East College, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, March 20, 2014. A renowned international book author and speaker, Jeremy Harmer delivered a talk titled "Sacred Gift or Faithful Servants? [Focus, Routine and Intuition]." Sponsored by ELTPN British Council, the presentation added additional insights to the lecturers fund of knowledge especially in line with ELT paradigms and teaching methodology. Attending Harmers talk was made possible by the joint efforts of the Staff Professional Development Committee and Staff Support Committee, led by Mr. Elmo Purpura and Mr. Vinayakam Ariyaputhiran, respectively.
