Female Students Dominates the Male at the Business Studies Department
According to the data accessed at the College System as of May 28, 2012, enrollment figure stands at 2,171 students. Interestingly, the Department of Business Studies has 551 students; one-fourth or 25.38% out of the total population of the college. The females outnumbered the males where females accounted for 355 and 196 are males, translated to 64.43% and 35.57% respectively.
In contrast, the whole college population is dominated by males where they are accounted to 1365 or 62.87 and there are 806 females or 37.13%. The figure is due to the massive number of male students registered at the Engineering department accounting to 966 or 86.4% compared to females with a measly percentage of 13.6% or 152 students out of 1118 total students at the department.
The females at the Information Technology department also dominates the registered students comprise of 290 out of 492 students or 58.94% as opposed by male students whose number is 202 or 41.06 of the total enrolled I.T students.
