One of the activities during the 3rd Career and Training Fair of Shinas College Technology was CV Preparation Workshop. This was conducted by Mr. Ali Al Alawi, HOS, Human Resources, Business Department. The intensive workshop was attended by almost 30 students from the three departments of the college namely: Engineering, Information Technology and Business Studies. The workshop was held at Multi-Purpose Hall last May 13, 2013 at 10 AM. Mr. Ali explained the Whys and Hows of CV. He gave an emphasis that the CV is a marketing tool of the applicants in which the primary objective is to persuade recruiters to consider applicants for possible employment. The participants were given practical activities on how to prepare a CV. Questions were raised on how to increase applicants chance to be qualified for a job interview. The one-hour intensive workshop ended on a high note when participants were asked to submit their Instant CVs, that were prepared during the workshop. The best CV was recognized and all the submitted CVs will be assessed and will be given feedback
