In coordination with the OJT Department, the Business Studies Department organized a visit to ORPIC Fair, Sohar last Sunday, June 24, 2012. A group of 21 students, under the supervision of Ms. Aziza Al-Qamshoei, Business lecturer, joined the visit. Moreover, representatives from the OJT Department namely Mrs. Fatmah Al-Shibli, Head OJT Department and Ms. Fatmah AL-Mamari, work specialist OJT Depatment, also participated in the said event. The participants were warmly welcomed by the host company which was represented by Mr. Mohammed Al Hamimi, Community Relations and Corporate Communication Service. Mr. Mohammed introduced the company through a short video. He also toured the group around the fair, explained comprehensively about the ORPIC products, discussed the manufacturing processes and operations, showed the sample products and presented the APPLE Program and their remarkable achievements in year 2011. The visit ended with a tour to ORPIC industrial plants and establishments. The students, together with the staff, were amazed and inspired with the companys growth and its role to Omans economic development.
