Overview:

With the challenges of the pandemic becoming ever more distant, we look forward to the future with greater hope and optimism. The current business and professional climate are demanding an increasing amount of versatility and adaptability nowadays from new graduates, so we must ask ourselves as educators how best to prepare our students for these demands. We must pay careful attention to the role that English plays in modern life, recognizing its ever-present utility to students careers. Tomorrow’s talent will certainly require the skills demanded in the 21st century and an abundant capability with technology, so students must be immersed in a technology-rich environment. To this end, it is incumbent to intertwine more traditional ways of teaching with the most current methods of technological pedagogy. Special attention should always be paid to how English, itself, is in a constant state of flux. As English takes its place as the preeminent lingua franca in the world, we must be ever mindful of how the language changes to suit the many different people and cultures who use it.  We earnestly hope that this symposium provides the right platform to share and exchange the ideas, experiences and explore the new avenues of teaching and learning.
