Four (4) Advanced Diploma in Networking students from the IT Department participated in the "Tech Quiz 2014" held in Ibri College of Applied Sciences on February 26, 2014. Maryam Othman Al-Shehi, Samiya Said Khamis Al-Moqbali, Seham Said Khamis Al-Suwaidi, and Tahani Mohammed Hilal Al-Matroushi teamed up to compete against 25 teams hailing from 14 different colleges across the Sultanate. This activity, organized by the IT Department of Ibri College of Applied Sciences, aimed to test the IT literacy, knowledge and skills of students. It also served as an avenue for developing camaraderie, cooperation, and unity among colleges and inculcating the values of teamwork, and sportsmanship among the participating teams. A written examination was conducted to select the top six for the final round. Al-Mussana College of Technology bagged the championship while Sur College of Applied Sciences and Ibri College of Applied Science secured the 1st and 2nd runner-up positions respectively. The ShCT team was accompanied by Mr. Muhammaed Faheem Qureshi, Networking Lecturer.
