Ten (10) IT students of ShCT took part in the Intercollegiate Students Competition 2014 held at College of Applied Sciences Sohar on May 5, 2014. These students contested in Tech Sweeper Quiz, Security and Networking Troubleshooting, and Project Exhibition competitions. The said competitions gave opportunities for the students to prove their potential in Computer Networks and IT Security fields. The ShCT squad comprised of eight (8) Bachelor in Information Technology students majoring in Networking: Samiya Said Khamid Al-Moqbali, Maryam Othman Othman Al-Shahi, Nadiyah Sarhan Mudhaffar Al-Risi, Khadeeja Murshed Abdullah Al-Mamari, Hindi Ali Khamis Al-Mazroui, Amani Ali Hassan Al-Matroushi, Ibrahim Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Nofali,, Shabeeb Salim Mohammed Al-Saeedi, and two (2) Advanced Diploma in Networking students: Hamed Said Al-Gaithi and Abdulaziz Said Abdullah Al-Reesi. Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Nofali and Shabeeb Salim Al-Saeedi duo, under the mentorship of Mr. Bernard Agbuya and Mr. Saad Abdul Malik Qureshi, bagged the second place in Security and Networking Troubleshooting competition. Mr. Mohammed Faheem Qureshi and Mr. Mohammed Naheed Ali coached the team for the Tech Sweeper Quiz, while Mr. Charles Jaya Rao and Mr. Arun Isaac guided the Project Exhibition team.
