IT Department conducted a training workshop on 'Tools and Resources for Blogging' on May 15, 2014 at the Open Laboratory in the Main Building. Mr. Thanigaivel Ganesan served as the resource speaker. He talked about the importance of regular publication of a person's ideas, areas of interest or anything worth sharing. He demonstrated how to create and publish a blog, and create video lectures using screen casting tools. He also shared information on various supporting resources and tools such as Feedly, Google Alerts, Twitter, SMS alerts, etc. The said training aimed to highlight the advantages of blogging and to develop and enhance the use of innovative tools and techniques. It also advocated the use of blogging as another effective tool or resource in the teaching-learning activities.
