ETC heats-up with four simultaneous training sessions
On November 18, 2014 the Educational Technology Center conducted four different training classes at separate Computer Laboratories of the Main Building from 12:00 until 2:00 in the afternoon.
In the Multipurpose Laboratory, Mr. Dennis John Gonzales trained academic staff on integrating Windows Movie Maker 2012 in their instructional presentations, covering some features of the software in a very interactive manner. The session was attended by faculties from ELC, Business Studies, Engineering and IT departments.
In Laboratory 5, Mr. Sidney Souribio trained administrative staff and HODs in MS Excel 2010. Attended by staff from HR, QAD, Finance and Registration Department, the training focused on the basic functions and formulas of MS Excel 2010 and how the spreadsheet automates the analysis of data. The attendees requested a future session focusing on advance topics of formulas and functions.
In Laboratory 3A, Mr. Melvin Belarmino trained IT students, who are currently enrolled in the Course Project on Windows Server 2012 platform. This training aimed at providing support to students in accomplishing their Course Projects and the training will run for four weeks, every Tuesday from 12:00 to 2:00. This was the 3rd session of the training.
In the Hardware Laboratory, Mr. Marvin Retutal trained IT students on Hardware Troubleshooting and Maintenance Procedures. This training aimed to provide students with additional knowledge and hands-on experience on Hardware Troubleshooting. The training session was given to four different sections of the IT Basic troubleshooting course.
