The University of Technology and Applied Sciences-Shinas has recently solidified a significant collaboration with the OQ Group through the signing of a memorandum of cooperation. Dr. Ahmed Al Shahri, the Dean of the University, and Mr. Kamel bin Bakhit Al-Shanfari, the CEO of the Refineries, Petrochemical Industries, and Plastics Sector at OQ Group, signed the agreement on 30th May 2023, which encompasses a wide array of areas such as training, development, and scientific research. 

One of the focal points of the agreement is the establishment of a comprehensive training and capacity building framework. This framework will enable both parties to engage in a fruitful exchange of best practices in human capital development across various fields. Through a range of awareness programs and employee engagement initiatives, the collaboration seeks to enhance the knowledge, skills, and competencies of individuals involved. The partnership aims to facilitate cooperation and knowledge transfer through specialized training programs designed to improve employability. By leveraging the expertise of both institutions, these training initiatives will contribute to enhancing the practical skill sets of individuals and their readiness for the job market.
