ELC students present in SU 1st Students' Language Conference 2018
Four English Language Center (ELC) students presented in Sohar University (SU) 1st Students' Language Conference 2018 with the theme “From the Classroom to the Real World” held at Sohar Univeristy, Sohar, Oman, on March 27, 2018.
Foundation Program-Level 4 student Faidh Al Noor Asim Al-Farsi delivered “Tactics towards Motivating Students to Learn English: A Student’s Point of View.”
Hamda Ali Al-Mazroui and Noor Al-Huda Mohammed Al- Shibli, Post-Foundation Program students, presented “Stop Saying I Wish, Start Saying I Will: Self-study Ways to Improve Your English Language.”
Abdullah Sultan Al-Risi, Post-Foundation Program student, talked about “TED Talks’ Secret: Wish Everybody Knows.”
A total of 20 students from ELC and other Departments attended the conference as participants.
The conference was organized to bolster students’ leadership skills, to prepare students for the world beyond the classroom, to take chances and build students’ confidence by engaging them with other university students and to connect students in a full-day, interactive network.
