ELC organizes ‘Falling Walls’ competition
The English Language Center (ELC) organized the ‘Falling Walls’ competition at the Amphitheatre, on March 17, 2019.
A group of 22 students from the Business Studies, IT, and Engineering Department participated in the said competition.
Each contestant was given three minutes to present his/her original and innovative ideas.
The jury members, Engineering Department HoD Dr. Ahmed Al Balushi, ELC Head of the English Language Program section, Mr. Ahmed Hashil Al Saadi, and ELC lecturer Mr. Abdallah Ali Al Balushi, assessed the contestants based on their oral communication skills and creativity of ideas.
Engineering student Abdul Hamid Al Ghaithi bagged the first place, while Naeema Ali Said Al Mammari and Muzna Said Al Mammari from the IT Department placed second and third, respectively.
