The Staff Professional Development Committee (SPDC) of the Department of Business Studies organized a Workshop on “Teaching Strategies for Student Centered Learning”, held on October 1, 2014, in the Multi Purpose Hall, from 10.00 AM to 12:00 Noon. The Workshop was conducted by Mr. Jangaiah Paladi, HoS of Accounting Section from the Department of Business Studies. It was the first of a series of four such workshops.

The session involved a series of guided practice and active participation of the members throughout the session, with a focus on delivering the lecture, observing different teaching situations, exploring problems encountered by the lecturers on the job, and identification of elements of good instruction.

The participants were quite enthusiastic during the session and they wanted to have more of such hands-on training in the remaining parts of the workshop.
