Advanced Diploma and Bachelor Networking students enrolled in Cloud Computing and Cryptography, and Diploma in IT students registered in Cryptography, visited Sohar Aluminum, on February 27 and March 4, 2019, respectively.

The industrial visit aimed to equip students with the necessary knowledge of cloud computing platform used in Sohar Aluminum and Data Center Function.

IT Section Administrator Mr. Saif Al Bedwawi explained the company profile, responsibilities of the IT section, importance and usage of cloud platforms, cloud service management, administrator’s role and the importance of Service-Level Agreement (SLA).

IT lecturers Dr. Abdul Saleem Raja and Dr. Sundaradass Rajami accompanied the Networking students, while Mr. Syed Ibrahim and Ms. Anette Daligcon went with the IT in Diploma students in the said visits.
