After the IT Lecturers set of presentations in the TechTalk Series, the Mathematics Department came forward all geared up for their series of talks. Dr. V. Ashokkumar, gave a discourse on Fuzzy Sets and its Related Concepts as the opening salvo last Wednesday, February 13, at Computer Laboratory 1. The speaker talked about fuzzy set, fuzzy numbers and its extension principles, types of fuzzy numbers, operations on fuzzy numbers, and α-cut of a fuzzy number. He also shared how fuzzy logic is being applied in real-life by giving an example, a fuzzy controller of a washing machine. Ms. Farida Rehan, HoS-Math, handed over to the speaker the certificate of appreciation. Mr. C. Prasanna Ranjith, IT QA Coordinator, gave a message of thanks to the speaker and participants. Both Math and IT Lecturers attended the discourse.
