The Engineering Department conducted an awareness session on Plagiarism Issues in Academic Projects for the student community, on 11th October 2023, in the engineering building. A total of 63 students from various disciplines of the Engineering Department participated in the knowledge sharing event. The Teaching and Learning Committee coordinator Mr. Ameer Hamza welcomed the attendees.   The speaker Dr. Konda Reddy Seku delivered an enlightening session explaining the importance of plagiarism, its consequences and the measures students should adopt to avoid plagiarism issues, by using proper citation & referencing. He imparted valuable information about free and paid plagiarism checkers available online and provided hands on training, illustrating how to use plagiarism checkers. The session gave an overall idea on how to paraphrase a research article by minimizing the similarity percentage. The interactive Q&A session after the event allowed attendees to ask specific questions. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Shanmugam, member of the Teaching and Learning Committee.
