A team of 14 mechanical engineering students, together with their course lecturer Mr. Sujith Rethnam visited Vale Oman Pelletizing Company LLC, Sohar City on March 16, 2016.

Vale’s institutional relations specialist Mr. Khalaf Said Al Mamari, communication assistant Mr. Yassir Al Shahi,  and process engineer Mr. Mahdi Al Mahrouqi welcomed the group.

During the tour to the company’s production plant, the students were enlightened on the technical aspects of the pelletizing production process and operations.

This visit aimed to let the students, enrolled in Manufacturing Operations Management, observe the real-time operations of Vale.

The Engineering Department, in coordination with ShCT’s OJT Department, organized the visit.
