A group of 21 Diploma Electrical Engineering students visited STOMO Power Plant, on March 5, 2019.

Initiated by the Industrial Liaison Committee of the Engineering Department (ED), the industrial visit aimed to equip students with knowledge on power generation parameters, transformers and desalination techniques, and control parameters of the overall unit.

Training Administrator Mr. Hariharan Sachidanandam explained the operations of their various departments.

Training Electrical Engineer Mr. Ali Sulaiman Al Shamsi, a proud ShCT alumnus, presented the Power Plant’s operation and maintenance.        

ED lecturer Dr. Latha Jayaraj accompanied the students in the said visit.
