Twenty-four students of Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering visited ShCT’s Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) on March 15, 2016.

Accompanied by Ms. Nisha Anilkumar, lecturer for Environmental Engineering, the students observed the storage tank and disinfection treatment process, primary treatment tank and secondary treatment, aeration tank, sludge drying bed, and finally the clean water storage tank.

STP’s maintenance engineer demonstrated the various processes in the treatment plant.

The Engineering Department, in coordination with ShCT’s On-the-Job Training Department organized the field visit.
