The University of Technology and Applied Sciences-Shinas recently hosted a training seminar on exemplary leadership. Dr. Hani Al Balushi, a lecturer at the English Language Center, presented the training on 30^th March 2023, to a diverse group of participants, including government officials, university employees, and lecturers. During the plenary session, Dr. Al Balushi focused on the evolution of the concept of leadership, from a focus on the leader's personal skills and attributes to a focus on the leader's relationship with their team and various leadership theories. The session also emphasized the importance of effective communication in the workplace. Participants were encouraged to ask questions and engage in discussions on topics such as setting clear expectations, empowering team members, and recognizing and rewarding achievements. By sharing their own experiences and perspectives, attendees were able to gain valuable insights and practical tools to improve their leadership skills. Overall, the seminar was a great success and received positive feedback from participants.
