The IT Department arranged a visit to Sohar Aluminium on 21st November 2022. The activity was arranged by the Industry Visit Committee of the IT Department in cooperation with the OJT department. The 21 students who are taking Network Operating Systems Administration & Security, were accompanied by Mr A Hariraman. The objective of the visit was to understand the real working scenario of the Windows Server in the company.

The trainers Mr. Saif Ul Islam, Senior Engineer of IT System Operations and Mr. Pradeep Sah, Senior Engineer of Networks discussed VPN, DNS, and the Server Monitoring Tool. They also discussed about the Industrial Training provided by Sohar Aluminium to potential employees during the summer with monetary compensation. After completing the training session, the students were taken to the Main Data Center where they maintain the Physical and Virtual Servers.

The trainers ended the session by giving encouragement and tips to students to become compete in a dynamic world.
