The Engineering department organized a site visit to Liwa Municipality Road Project site,Liwa on 08th March 2023 for the students of civil engineering Diploma Final Year Project CECE2250. Mr. Hussain, Engineer, Municipality Liwa Project, Mr. Noorul Hasan and Mr. Saif Al Saidi, Facultyof Civil Engineering section, Engineering Department, UTAS-Shinas, thoroughly described the students about the basics of a road project and various stages of construction. The students were made familiar about the materials and machines being used for the road construction. The consultant explained the students about the key plans and drawings. Some specific plans and drawing were showed to them and the consultant explained the students how to interpret data from it. A good interaction and discussion took place between the engineers and the students at the construction site. Mr. Noorul Hasan and Mr. Saif Al Saidi, Faculty of Civil Engineering, UTAS-Shinas accompanied students during the site visit. Students got a better understanding of the fundamentals in road construction through this visit.
