IT studs exhibit Research Project Posters
Information Technology (IT) students currently enrolled in Research Methodology exhibit their research project posters on December 4, 2018, at the Main Building Lobby.
The event was officiated Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Mamari, IT Head Ms. Amina Salim Mohammed Al-Jabri and IT Section Head, Ms. Amna Salim Rashid Al-Kaabi and attended by IT staff and students.
It was participated in by IT students from both Advanced Diploma and Bachelor level which was composed of 10 groups in Bachelor level and 9 groups in Advanced Diploma level.
After careful evaluation by some IT Lecturers, the winner for the Bachelor level with title “Assessment of Oman’s Labour Market and Employment Opportunities Among graduates in ShCT” was supervised by Mr. Rajesh Natarajan with group members Hind Ibrahim Khamis Al-Belushi, Moza Salim Mohammed Al-Mazruee and Noura Ali Said Al-Zaabi.
The Advanced Diploma winner with title “Fire Alarm and Discharge Device - An emergent requirement for Oman” was supervised by Dr. Bala Verassamy with group members Noof Said Mohammed Almuqbali Al-Dhiyaa and Amur Salim AlabdulSalam.
The event was also attended by staff and students from other departments who had the chance to ask the groups regarding their research. Some of them gave some suggestions and recommendations to improve the research.
The event was great opportunity to encourage students to do research not only for academic purpose but also for finding solutions to a problem through research.
