The Information Technology (IT) Department conducted a webinar on “Online Teaching - Student Engagement Techniques” on 31^st January 2022, via MS Teams.  The webinar aimed to highlight the importance of student engagement during online courses, with a focus on ways to increase student attention, stimulate curiosity and how to promote a passion for learning, among students. IT Faculty member, Ms. Myra Patalay, from the Software Engineering Section served as the resource speaker. She discussed the strategies and techniques used for student engagement. She also demonstrated the techniques and various programs and tools used during her online courses, which had helped to improve the level of student engagement.  Forty-seven staff members from IT, Networking and Math sections attended the webinar.  IT Staff Professional Development Committee (SPDC) organized and facilitated the webinar.
