SQU orients IT on OCP Contest
Sultan Qaboos University’s (SQU) Organization Committee Chairperson Dr. Mohammed Al-Badawi oriented the IT staff and students on the Oman Collegiate Programming Content (OCPC) at the ShCT Theater on October 10, 2017.
According to Dr. Al-Badawi, the contest set on October 31 and November 1 at SQU’s Multi-Purpose Hall provides college students an opportunity to demonstrate and sharpen their problem-solving skills.
He further highlighted that the contest will be a platform for students to meet students from other universities and colleges in the region.
He also cited that OCPS is the ACM’s official local contest in Oman that models the ACM Collegiate Programming Contest; hence, it provides an excellent preparation for the ACM regional and World’s finals contest.
Winners in OCPC 2017 will be qualified to the upcoming Arab Collegiate Programming Contest (ACPC) slated for November 24, 2017.
